“There was more than a need for the concept,” says Jacobs of The Hidden House’s multi-dining vibe, a focus the team put a lot of thought and detail into before opening the doors for business last summer. Its cheeky name might suggest The Hidden House is off the beaten path. But the 1939 cottage-turned-restaurant in historic Downtown Chandler is no longer a mystery. "You start working away at it, and it took a lot of time. I've been to a lot of places, from South Africa to Israel to every major city in the U.S. to see what’s going on. The focus has always been on trying to do something different."

But at the Hidden House, a newly-opened Chandler restaurant, diners can do just that. The back patio has a second bar with about 10 seats and more tables seated underneath a wooden pergola. Entrée selections include such dishes as Peking duck breast, Scottish salmon, Korean barbeque short rib and a variety of soups and salads, and signature desserts. Appetizers and bar food include pork belly tacos, truffle mac n' cheese and shishito peppers with candied ginger. "The reason I’m in this business is because I want to take care of people, I want to nourish," Jacobs said. "I believe in people, family, and love, pulling people together – no matter how bad it is in the world, sit them down and take them away from that."

Jacons said there will be around 100 wines on the menu, eight beers on tap, and more than 30 beers available in cans. Bobby was 1 of 9 selected globally to fly to Scotland and assist in developing the Achentochen Bartender’s Malt No. 2. This limited release is now available for purchase by bottle, and also featured in a few drinks at The Brickyard. He proactively empowers them to exercise culinary expression and grow in their success - making him a great Chef and mentor. Brent received his formal culinary education from Le Cordon Bleu. Prior to the Hidden House, he deepened his knowledge and refined his skills during his time as a chef at Top of the Rock at the Buttes Marriott, LON’s at the Hermosa Inn, and Culinary Dropout. He excels at developing unique recipes that honor the science of the cocktail, while blending it with the art of creativity.
Lunch Menu
The cocktail book lineup includes generation-specific drinks such as sidecars, Hemingway daiquiris, and chartreuse swizzles from pre-Prohibition, Prohibition, Tiki and New Age eras—designed lightest to darkest—and tap cocktails that are made in-house. In addition, approximately 100 wines, eight beers on tap, and more than 30 canned beers are available. A more upscale traditional dining experience can be found inside the cottage where there are tables topped with white linen, rolled napkins, and wine glasses.

Behind that is a hangar, which has more of an outdoor-that-is-indoor feel with live trees, floral chandeliers, booths and tables, and two 14-foot garage-style windows that open and connect to the back patio. There is 16-foot barn door that leads out to a small area where people can play a game of corn hole. We believe that people are more than their job titles, their struggles, or their labels. We believe that everyone deserves a break from everyday stress.
When Michael is not behind the bar "which is rare", he is playing the drums for his local garage rock band, Echo Bombs. As another huge supporter of local collaboration, you will find ingredients and recipes throughout our menu that incorporate some of his friends from across town. His love for cocktails started early out of High School, when he was bartending for weddings and corporate events.
